About Enabling Lives Festival (ELF)

The Enabling Lives Festival is a signature event organised by SG Enable to rally stakeholders, corporates, philanthropies and the community, to come together to celebrate the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.

Themed ‘Celebrating Inclusion and Abilities’, the Festival anchors on three programme pillars – Celebrate, Collaborate, Champion, reflecting SG Enable’s long-term commitment to strengthen the social fabric of our community across all abilities and to make Singapore a more inclusive place to live and work in.

SG Enable

SG Enable, the national agency for disability and inclusion in Singapore, enables persons with disabilities to live, learn, work, and play in an inclusive society. We create equitable opportunities for persons with disabilities through thought leadership, sustainable social innovation, and impactful partnerships. Guided by our core values of professionalism, innovation, and empathy, we envision a more inclusive Singapore and enabled lives. Set up by the Ministry of Social and Family Development in 2013, we are a registered charity and an Institution of a Public Character.

Enabling Village

Enabling Village by SG Enable is Singapore’s first inclusive community space that brings to life how persons with disabilities can work, learn, live, and play as part of an inclusive society. Located just five minutes from Redhill MRT, Enabling Village integrates community amenities, retail and lifestyle services, and training and employment opportunities within a universally designed, barrier-free environment.

The Village is a place where persons with disabilities of all ages, caregivers, social service agencies, inclusive employers, and likeminded partners connect and collaborate – fostering independence, participation, and inclusion for persons with disabilities. With a focus on post-school transition and support, inclusive employment, lifelong learning, and future care planning, Enabling Village demonstrates how accessibility and social innovation can combine to create shared spaces that work for everyone. Its community services include an inclusive preschool, an assistive technology centre, and an inclusive indoor swim school.

Recognised locally and internationally for its universal design excellence and social impact, Enabling Village continues to pioneer new models of work, learning, and living that inspire and catalyse inclusion beyond its grounds. Through partnerships with businesses, organisations, and the wider community, it showcases what is possible when we come together to build dreams and enable lives.
