The Silent Experience

Take a step into the lived experiences of Deaf individuals. This session will be conducted in ‘silence’ and facilitated by persons with hearing loss, removing key senses through ear plugs and masks.

Participants will be taught basic Singapore Sign Language, while also learning ways of communicating with Deaf persons.

Learning various knotting and braiding techniques, our community of caregivers collaborated with fibre artist Adeline Loo (@ittakesballs) to create this immersive installation, fostering awareness and recognition for caregivers. The vibrant, interactive pod encourages conversation on caregiver support, challenging visitors to explore the complexities of caregiving.
